We are excited to report that the planning process for the third Democracy Convention is moving forward and a location has been chosen!

The next Democracy Convention will take place in Minnesota’s Twin Cities. After careful consideration, the Minneapolis-St. Paul area has been selected by the Democracy Convention Steering Committee as the site of next summer’s national gathering of the U.S. democracy movement.
We look forward to bringing the Democracy Convention to a new city in the summer of 2017 and to working with regional activists and communities to make this next national gathering an inspirational and important event.

Constitutional Reform Conference
Democratizing Defense Conference
Economic Democracy Conference
Education for Democracy Conference
Local Democracy Conference
Media Democracy Conference
Racial Equality Conference
Representative Democracy Conference

The second Democracy Convention added the Earth Democracy Conference, for a total of nine conferences. In 2017, we are adding a tenth conference, the Global Democracy Conference

We’ll provide you with more news about the 2017 Democracy Convention in the coming weeks. Please keep an eye out and prepare to register for the convention and spread the news. In the meantime, we shine a light on the Twin Cities and the democracy movement work happening there.
